We remember James Brown
Peak Dope: It's gossip, news, and other stuff you can read that will permit you to fit in around the water cooler with your co-workers who think they are so cool.
Today, our Christmas song is The Little Drummer Boy by Bob Seger. It is even synchronized to Christmas lights! Why? Because you cannot have a bad day when you are listening to Bob Seger.
Heather here again with yet another Christmas video! I have seen this movie at least 336 times. It is just not Christmas without these old classic films. Here is Burl Ives singing Holly Jolly Christmas:
Here is the best YouTube parody of Alvin and the Chipmunks doing the Christmas song. It just happens to be the genius work of the folks on SNL with Justin Timberlake.
Heather here. I played the Madonna version of Santa Baby today only to find Peakerheads all around were dying to find out who did the original. It was Eartha Kitt in 1953. If this doesn't say class and taste, I do not know what does!
Here is Adam Sandler with the very first Chanukah song.
But it was about time someone parodied a parody. It's "The Diwali Song" from The Office.
Heather here again. Now it is really Christmas because I have found my Twisted Sister Twisted Christmas and am now sharing it with you. This is now turning into a challenge. How many crazy Christmas carols can I find before Santa comes to town?
Heather here, have to share one of my favorite Christmas songs with you. Now that we're leaking out some of our cool Christmas songs on the air that we've been playing for a while online at the Peak Christmas Channel, I've got one more little goody to share online. It's not a pop song, it's not a rock song -- it's a rap song! Of all the Christmas songs out there, it just doesn't feel like Christmas to me until I've heard Christmas in Hollis by Run D.M.C. I was hardly a B-girl, more along the lines of White and Nerdy like Weird Al. But this takes me back to a more innocent time before eBay and iPods. A time when a clean sense of humor in a rap song was worth its weight in gold. ...and a time when rappers wore clothes that were snug! Check out those Addidas!
This guy totally screws up a kung fu audition.
