Find the difference between the two album covers!

The photo on the bottom left is the real cover of the new Bob Seger album, Face the Promise. It's the one with the silver lettering (which you know if you have bought the album).

The photo on the top right is a promotional copy. So what's the difference between the two? This may drive you nuts and at least keep you busy for a few minutes. And we know you're not busy since you're blogging with the Peak right now.

Need a laugh real bad? This will do it.

First watch this video and then we will discuss.

Aside from the fact that this is absolutely hysterical, we cannot make fun of it too much because Heather has done the same exact thing on the air. But that was during a live broadcast outdoors, we refuse to say where, but would just like you to know the Peak Studios do not have roaches. At least we think not.

The other thing about this video is that it is professionally done. Obviously what happened here was the production guys at this news station had it in for the weatherman. So they released that cockroach during his forecast knowing full well he would freak out. Then they took the footage and slapped it together to achieve viral video fame on YouTube and iFilm. It just looks not at all like coincidence to us and like this poor weatherman got picked on!

Talk like a Pirate!

Darn it! Looks like we’re a day late for International Talk Like a Pirate day! It was yesterday. Well, since we do whatever we want around here, let’s celebrate a day late.

Apparentaly swashbuckling, whatever that is, happens to be all the rage. That guy in the video had his family on ABC's Wife Swap earlier this week. His wife traded spots with a landlubbing wench of some sort and hilarity ensued. We can't make this stuff up!

We clean up good.

Here we are at the Wrigley Mansion. We couldn't believe they let us in! L-R: James, Mary, Scott, Chris (he's the boss), and Heather.

Heather's Peak Party Goes on the Road to the Wrigley Mansion

We broadcasted the Peak Party for the first time ever from somewhere other than the illustrious Peak Studios...and a good time was had by all! We set up shop at the Wrigley Mansion with about 400 Peakerheads/serious fans of EastonAshe, and boy! Can they party! Never have we been to a party like this before. We can't wait to have another!

In the photo, L-R: Scotty Drake, Mary Reilly, Jerri (Ryan Sims' mom - he's the lead singer of EA) and Heather. We have no idea who that coupld making out is.

Listen to three new EastonAshe Songs!

I sit here in my dining room filled with sadness because I know some of you did not buy your EastonAshe album release party tickets in time for the big bash Saturday night at the Wrigley Mansion in honor of the first full-length EastonAshe album, Can I Drive It? So, with the permission of the band, I have put together a podcast for your listening pleasure.

For those of you lucky enough to be holding tickets to the Wrigley show on Saturday night, this should get you warmed up for the party and ready to sing along with these songs. And do not forget to leave a comment here on the blog to let me know what you think of the songs! You can also email me at heather@987thepeak.com.

Most importantly, the album will be available for purchase on EastonAshe.net.

Remembering 9-11-01

CNN, as well as other cable broadcasters like MSNBC, were intent on remembering 9/11 in real-time fashion on their morning programs with CNN even making 15 hours of 9/11 footage available on their website. People everywhere are marking the five-year anniversary in many ways online. We found quite a few tribute videos on YouTube, like this one:

And while it is Fashion Week in New York City, no one can forget what happened on this day in 2001. New York Magazine is asking what if 9/11 never happened?

We would be remiss if we did not mention at least one Arizona connection to the day we will never forget, as we realize there are many connections to the tragedy that shook the world five years ago today.

This is why you should respect your elders.

Party time with EastonAshe!

EastonAshe is having an album release party at the Wrigley Mansion on the 16th! Here's the place to get all the dirt on that. But most important, yes, it is true. We really are being allowed into the Wrigley Mansion. We might even shower before we go. We may even shave. We may even put on deoderant. We might even put on pants! We can't wait to watch EastonAshe perform their new songs off their new album "Can I Drive It?" If that means we have to put on shoes and comb our hair, so be it.
